My only suggestion here: mine black ores and stock up on as much worldedition gold sol zid, haren, and louis mika as you can, and craft boots. Why boots? They require the least amount of materials per attempt to craft.
Eventually, you will be needing the higher booties (High Zid, Mid Mika, Greaf etc.) to craft the level 30+ armor and weapons. You could begin saving up all the booties you can, but IMHO, leave the hunting of harder booty to your customers.
By the time you can craft 30+ armor (and not fail 99% of the time <.< ) you should be an engineer.
BTW, upgrading to an engineer gives massive bonuses to ALL your craft PT. Rather than raising your PT by a definite number of PT's, refining to an engineer will give a specific amount of experience to each craft-PT.
The amount of craft-PT given is estimated to be 10-15 pt's per craft PT, as I didn't get the exact amount of PT-experience given... I have yet to know if refining to a Scientist will add PT-experience as well.
As much as possible, craft the item that requires the least amount of materials and still gives craft PT. Crafting the higher items has a higher fail rate and consumes much more resources...
